#Review: Clinique's Deep Comfort skincare range
Thanks to the ravages of what is supposed to be Autumn, but lately feels like Winter (I live in London, UK), even my oily, blemish-prone skin is running for cover and in need of emergency moisture. I've recently been playing around with a few Winter skincare essentials, and my first review focuses on Clinique's Deep Comfort range.

I'll start with the hand cream, which, at £18, is definitely not something I would ever spend on my hands. I mean, I get it; I use hand cream multiple times throughout the day, and am a big fan of Neutrogena's Norwegian Formula range. I have a tube by the kitchen sink, and a tube in each of my everyday handbags, and I always keep another tube nearby when I'm working from home. So, you can see: I get the need for hand cream, but when the cost is in double figures, I tend to take a pass.
The first thing I noticed about this hand cream was how good it felt; kind of like a warm, cosy, moisturising hug. My hands love this stuff. Thanks to the inclusion of moisturising Murumuru butter to keep skin smooth, and Gentian extract to soothe dry hands, the Deep Comfort Hand & Cuticle Cream feels like a luxury everyone should experience.
When it comes to the skin on the rest of my body I am a diehard exfoliator, which means I love playing with various moisturisers post-exfoliation, to see which ones really deliver. Recently, I've been keeping things simple, opting for pure Shea Butter from the amazing Shea Butter Cottage online store (I plan to visit their physical store soon) and organic, cold pressed coconut oil (Real Food Source on Amazon, £9.99 for a kilo), so the Clinique range felt seriously luxe. The Deep Comfort Body Butter, £25, is a real treat; packed with the same moisturising ingredients as the hand cream, it has a more whipped, creamy texture, and is perfect for knees and elbows in need of attention. I smothered my feet after a shower and then put socks on for an overnight hydration boost. Be warned, if you're someone who takes great pleasure in fragranced body lotions, you won't really find any kind of noticeable scent here. For those who prefer a less dense body moisturiser, try Deep Comfort Body Moisture, £20, and if you really want to spoil yourself, get the Deep Comfort Body Wash, £17, too.
All in all, I think this Clinique range is great for those who need deep hydration but don't want overly scented products; it's a super gentle range that would also suit those who get nervous at lengthy ingredient lists. It's simple, luxe and perfect for some Winter pampering time. The range would also make a great Christmas gift for mum.
