La Roche-Posay's Serozinc arrives in UK

Finally, us oily, blemish-prone girls in the UK can rejoice; La Roche-Posay's cult Serozinc is coming to our shores.

If you're anything like me, you'll most probably frown when the lady behind the beauty counter suggests using a toner in your skincare regime. To me, the word 'toner' signifies stinging and tightness, and perhaps even some additional zits, as my skin retaliates. But our friends in France have had the good fortune to choose another kind of toner, far gentler than its counterparts. Thankfully, the nigh on cult Serozinc from French brand La Roche-Posay, is finally available in the UK too.

Serozinc, £8.50, is a unique formula for a toner, in that it's a fine mist, rather than a watery liquid that's usually swiped on with cotton wool. Instead, after using your usual daily cleanser, you spritz on this mist, leave it to settle and sink in and then wipe off any excess. Then it's just back to your moisturiser. Using the same thermal spring water that much of La Roche-Posay's product range is built around, Serozinc helps mattify skin, prevents excess shine and tightens the appearance of pores, with none of the discomfort normally associated with blemish-prone skin toners.
